Sanctuary smells like warmth and incense, which has been perfect as fall slowly starts to set in.

This one is a little bit perfumy smelling but not overly so.

This is my second time ordering from Cantrip, and right next to Goldwheat Bakery, this has to be my next favorite by far. The smell of saffron makes it feel very rounded, but the spice from the ginger gives the candle a delightful spice.

Golden rays drift from far above, dust motes dancing through beams that fall into this safe haven you have found yourself in. Soft voices raised in joyous chants echo through bright stone halls; a susurrus of clean linen robes, prayers for the lost, and welcoming hands heal hurts both seen and unseen. Offerings at a pleasant shrine strewn with heartfelt leavings, such as bright flowers, beloved trinkets, and more, sit amidst burning sticks of incense that middle with the sunbeams and motes. The air here encourages you to take a deeper breath--bringing with the scents of sunshine, and cleanliness, somehow reminding you of better times and happier memories--enveloped by both comfort and welcome. This is a beautiful respite from the perils and dangers of the world, and for the moment, your weary and aching soul knows peace.

Sanctuary's scent is as crisp and as light as a gentle hand. Currently, this candle is burning in my den/work office. The tin says, "Saffron, Incense, and Ginger," it is so much more complex. It is the sunshine on a clear spring day after a cold rain, the crisp smell of freshly cleaned clothing, or a just-polished and dusted wooden pew warmed by the light of a window. Light, airy, hopeful, restful--all of these emotions and scents mingle in this candle. It is SO wonderful that I remarked to my husband, "I want this as a perfume, a body lotion, and a soap." I do. I would wear this everywhere.

It is sunshine and happiness, and safety in a candle.
