The fae forest is unlike any other forest you've seen, adventurer. Here, unrecognizable ferns in hues of bloody red and deep purple grow outward in strange configurations. Gargantuan trees with gnarled roots that spread like small hills made the walking dangerous and uneven, while leaves in deep indigo, blood red, and even black shot through with blue keep the forest floor forever in foggy dusk. Strange blooms, heavy and sweet, hang in the air, and with each step you take, your booted foot crushes damp glowing fungi and moss that erupt in the wet, mysteriously dark earth. Be wary. Nothing is as it seems.
This candle has been blowing my mind for the last two days since it arrived. For a few seconds, you almost want to recoil from it--but wait! that's not a bad thing! The tomato leaf PERFECTLY captures healthy, damp soil heady with ripe forest vegetation. One minute I smell woodsy, one minute I smell the earth, the next minute, moss, then another minute, it's the sensuous mystery of both nighttime Jasmine blooms and neroli. Like the Fae itself and no doubt the forest, it is both enchanting AND dangerous at the same time...Something to get used to, but once the scent lulls you, it changes.
No candle could perfectly sum up the experience of being in a Fae Forest as this. It is a MUST for your next Feywild adventure or to evoke the memories of your favorite Feywild campaign.
