My son loved the candle. It arrived it great condition and smelled great!

We've never really been candle people, so I can't easily describe the process that brought us to Cantrip. But the fond memory of D&D played with friends sometime before the oceans drank Atlantis and the rise of the sons of Aryas has made me keen to sample a few different scents. Not a cheap whim, but the extra entertainment provided by the names and stories behind the scents convinced us it was a worthwhile investment.

We got a number of things, and were pleased with all of them, but this one - Florence - most of all. I just really, really like it, which comes as an immense surprise to me. I'll leave other more experienced reviewers to describe the scent beyond my generic "Awesome!", which maybe doesn't tell you everything you want to know.

But I will offer one tiny criticism, which can in no way detract from my five star review. It's the name: amusing to me ("Death? Huh, wonder what that's gonna smell like. I mean, I think *I* kinda know, but I wonder that *they* think it smells like. Jasmine? Really? We must buy it and investigate!"), but it has stopped me from buying it as a gift for friends half a dozen times this holiday season. This product is good enough that I only want to give it to people I really like, not the ones who I'd enjoy presenting with some form of Death (or maybe a very inexpensive candle with a name like "Troll Cave" or "Dung Beetle Casserole"?). And the sampler pack is now sold out, so I'm coming up with other ideas.

Burn this whenever I have a hard time relaxing. There’s some kind of magic in all the P&D candles; the Prince of Death creates such a soothing atmosphere that I really do feel blessed.

This is my favorite scent, ever. I was worried that the floral violet was going to be too overpowering - it’s not! The cardamom adds the perfect balance to this scent. Everyone I share this scent with says it’s the most fantastic candle they’ve ever smelled. The pillar candle is just perfect, reminiscent of religious altar candle. I’ve bought it twice now, one for a gift, and will buy it forever!

Honestly, I'm a Cantrip Candle stan and this scent blew it out of the water. The saffron basenote is such a solid foundation and gives a depth to the overall scent that is so rare to find. I'll be getting this again.
