I really enjoy the candles from Cantrip. I've been happily shopping with them for a couple of years now and have yet to leave a review with them, but I should because they deserve the praise.
I never thought I'd be someone who gets excited about candles. Have you ever picked up a candle to smell in a store and instantly pulled your face away and made a "blech" face? Perhaps because it was so sweet and overwhelmingly perfume-y? I sure have! I'd say that's probably 98% of candles out there. That was until I picked up a Cantrip Candle in a local game shop and gave it a sniff and much to my surprise, it was actually enjoyable and not slapping me in the face with it's scent. And they had very interesting scents that matched my gaming to top it off! A couple of candles later and here I am, coming back every year to restock my candles!
They really do set the mood and atmosphere for your dungeon crawls. I started using some while solo gaming and it is amazing how much it can add to the atmosphere while you play. I highly recommend them! My favorite 3 are Black Hound Tavern, Den of Thieves, and Adventurer's Emporium. But I also have been enjoying their Fall and Holiday scents as well. I always try to mix in a new scent or two and Dungeon Depths this time around has been perfect for those late night dungeon dives!
Black Hound Tavern is such a warm and comforting scent. It really does feel like the scent of a warm, inviting tavern. This candle will always find itself in my orders because of how much I enjoy coming back to it. It's just so cozy!

I adore the scent of Black Hound Tavern. It definitely has more depth to it than just whiskey and firewood. Those are the more promenant scents, but there's other stuff going on. Which really makes ot set the tone in your home, whether you're rolling a dice or reading a book. :)
I’ve purchased this candle several times in the 9 oz version from a local vintage store I shop at, but I wanted to get a full-size this time. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing and cozy this candle is. Many more purchases to come.
This is a lovely scent. It is so comfy! Strong and not overwhelming. Can almost feel the smoke without it being choking.
