Got this one for my dad for Christmas, along with Den of Thieves, since he previously enjoyed the Leatherworks scent. He called me up to say, "I haven't even lit them yet, I just take the lids off after I vacuum & the house smells great." He also says the stories on the tins are very cute, & I agree. Will probably add Adventurer's Emporium to his collection for Father's Day.

The scent of well-aged, well-tended oaken barrels and lovingly polished wooden furniture with the hint of smoke from a warm and welcoming cobblestone fireplace. Hints of leather from old wingback chairs near the fire and various adventurers' armor drift along with the delectable scent of expensive whiskey and deep, red wine.

This was my first purchase and candle from Cantrip, and it was the candle that hooked me. So many scents and hints of things that encompass what I imagine a fantasy tavern (that's cheerful and well maintained) would smell like. One of my favorites.

this scent is so wonderful, i am going to bring it to my next dnd session, but for now i light it when i sit down to draw and it's simply fantastic :-) i highly recommend it!

I really like the smell on this one, and it hits the tavern notes I want outside of probably split beer which I think my players handle enough on their own. However the smell just isn't very strong, in a 160sqft office I can barely smell it, let alone in my 300sqft game room. I'm going to leave a similar note on the dungeon smell as well since it also isn't very strong.

This scent was my introduction to the Cantrip Candles collection. It still remains my absolute favorite, and the one I always recommend to anyone who's curious to try!

It's pretty much exactly like what's described on the tin: whiskey forward, coupled with a smoky scent very much like a campfire! This scent is prominent and warm, but not overpowering, and easily fills a room. Perfect for tavern ambience for a game, or just if you want something help you relax into a different headspace while writing or reading. If you're considering buying any of Cantrip's scents, I insist you try this one at the very least!
