Welcome to Isla Culma. The Largest Island in the Culma Archipelago. Isla Culma is a temperate island, with rolling hills, steep cliffs, a small mountain range and a dense, ancient port city. Culma’s personal history is fascinating but she has also served as host to myriad occupying navies and armies from whichever empires reign supreme in the region. This has lead to layers and layers of history tied to the broader history of the region piling up beneath her streets and beneath the waves.

Most recently, during a great and terrible war, Culma, and her surrounding sister Islands, were held and lost by the opposed warring empires, and their allies, five times. At the end of the war, which spanned the Continent, the treaty failed to clearly define to which side Culma belonged, so for the first time in centuries the island has the opportunity to self determine.

The era is similar to the 1700s and 1800s of our world, but without the advent of gunpowder or Shipwrighting (In the same ways) instead boats are giant fish, bound like familiars to their captains, and soldiers fire simple spells from the hip in lieu of pistols and rifles.

From ancient cathedrals to a sprawling bazaar, from charming fields of pastoral splendor to the cave ridden cliffs along the coast, From the off shore Leviathan hunting to the distant shores whose cities glow on the horizon when the night sky is clear, the island nation of Culma is a fascinating place to adventure and eager to define her identity on the global stage.
