It's Renaissance Faire Season
The Renaissance Pleasure Faire is back in Southern California, and we are geared up and ready to go! If you've been to a Renfaire before (they're all similar but have their own unique spins), then you know it's a time for community, showing off your costume skills, enjoying good drinks, and strolling in the sunlight.
We're big fans of the yearly ritual, so much so that we'd consider it on par with the famous Coachella (but this version is more nerd-chic, and not $600). If you're looking to bring some of that Renfaire energy into your home, read on, dear friend.
Stonemoss Chapel
Depending on the weather, you might run into some mud and muck. Renfaire paths are usually dirt or grass roads traversed by hundreds of people each weekend. We find that bright, bold soil scent to be a reminder of home. It smells earthy, cozy, and natural. Stonemoss Chapel captures the fragrance of moss and soil, so you can celebrate a medieval aesthetic regardless of the season.
Cheers and Well Met!
Stereotype or not, we're emulating the peasants of 1400s England by... drinking too much beer. Each of the tavern stands has a long line all day, offering meads, beers, and cool water (the third one not always available in medieval times). So we've got to give a shoutout to Honeyswell Meadery for its accurate fermented honey note with a backdrop of juicy berries. If you're a mead lover, you should fill your space with this sweet scent!
Armor On!
I wore a plate armor chest piece this weekend, and walking around in it for 8 hours was my workout. Something about the sunlight reflecting on the silver metal made for a particularly beautiful day. I'm calling the costume my foray into a "tank build." But steel isn't the only popular wardrobe at the faire; leather is the clear dominant choice. That clean, new, polished leather scent can be brought to life with Adventurer's Emporium, a blend of leather and amber. Super crisp.
Whatever your fair season brings you, we wish you a wonderful time laughing in the sun with friends, good drinks, and stellar looks. Just be sure to mention us when you post your pics so we can check out your costumes. Huzzah!
